Sod in the final of Rotterdam and SO I can't see him go toO deep here.Good news for Markos who yet again was handed a  draw.

Any news on Simon? Is he definitely coming back for this? And it's strange that Richie doesn't play and instead chose to go to South america( btw any news on his current condition?is he seriously injured? )

I read a recent interview of Simon. He says he comes to Marseille as a test but feels good about his knee. He has taken advantage of his time off the tour to work on growing muscular power, mostly on his upper body. Here's the link (with a short video - all in French of course):
Simon: il est temps de jouer
You can see he has put on some weight!

No news on Richie. But he has a habit of avoiding tournies in France lately. :-?

I am going for Monfils. Doubt it will happen because he never seems to finish off and win tournaments. I'm saying Monfils anyway.

bleh we don't trust you Gilles unless you show us PICS of this amazing 30% more upper muscle!!

Good news I hope he does well though I'm not optimistic at all this being his firs tourny back.I can understand richie's decision to avoid france---and the press in general and just concetrate on his tennis and where best but from the lesser tournies??It's just that every year every french comes to play Marseille that's why it was a bit..suprising.

Tsonga-Baggy final would be dreamy!!:D (ESPECIALLY if it has the same result as the last final they played ;-) ) Let's hope that Sod won't spoil the party.

Something confusing about the web TV

About the web TV, the viewer you can download from the tournament website is not up-to-date and you can't see the stream with that version. Download the latest version of the viewer here instead:http://www.rayv.com/Download/Viewer (There the website is not up-to-date but the version downloaded is indeed the latest!)

Olivier Rochus, duh. Once he gets by a weak and unsure Simon he will plow his way through the draw. How did no one mention his name yet

second round Llodra and third round SODERLING who plays like he's possesed??
It's the worse quarter!

Llodra? You are scared of Llodra? Name me ONE second round in which you would have to face a worse player than llodra. Llodra has done NOTHING for 2 years. If Baggy can't beat Llodra, he shouldn't be top 40 at all. Soderling is only quarters. You can expect tough matches there. Making Quarterfinals would be a good result for Baggy anyway, and Soderling hasn't had the most consistent season so far..

I am not afraid of Llodra but I think it's not a good draw still. And you are very much underestimating him you know.

So one better second round?Fine!
Here it is:

C.Rochus
Marchenko
Bemelmans
Mertens
Guez
Rufin

I don't say Llodra is the worse the could get but the draw as a whole sucks. And no quarters is not a good result.

Than we disagree in what we expect from Baghdatis. I just want him to hang on. Be top 32 in a Slam. You expect him to be top 10, 15 again? I think that'll never happen. Bemelmans/Marchenko, would have meant Olivier first round. I think all in all, it didn't matter that much :). Baggy is pretty sure of Quarters, and has a good chance to go further. It's not like playing Tsonga or Monfils would have been great.

he's top 30 NOW so why not top 15-10? you're underestimating him again and baring injury he will prove you wrong.:p definitely a quarter is not a good result when you're the 7nth seed and other 2 seeds above you are injured/coming off injury.

7th seed should make Quarters and anything else is bonus. Same even goes for fifth seed. Bold part says it all of course ;)
But okay, let's agree to disagree. I think guys like Hewitt and haas who are coming back, have just a much more complete game than Marcos, and have more chance to make it back up. I might be wrong though, we'll see :)

Anyway, I think drawing Soderling might be good, because he will not win 2 tourneys in a row I think/

Would love to see Marcos win it, but even if he gets passed Soderling which to be honest is unlikely, he'll come up against a very in-form Youzhny. I'm going to go for Youzhny to win it out this time provided he's over his injury, but I hope Marcos does.
Oh, and agreed, that person is unbelievably under-estimating Llodra, he is absolutely class, especially in France, and with his serve and volley game, he could genuinely beat anybody on his day.

Also, I see Marcos being top 15 again. Definitely. He's every bit as good as someone like Robredo and I'd fancy him to beat Monfils, Haas, or Hewitt and players of that standard

Ouanna lucky loser

I didn't know Ouanna made it to the main draw thanks to C. Rochus's withdrawal. He's just won the first set 6-4 against Istomin. :)

who was suprised by that?!!
Simon hadn't played in months and Olie is anything but a pushover.Right now Gilles could lose against much worse players. He needs much more match time to be back.
