Thiem wins 12 of the last 13 games, I love Meddy, but this is above his pay grade on clay (as is Nadal). If he serves well I think he can win Wimbledon, do you?o_O

He could peak for the USO. The only non-clay event left this year I could see him do well in.

Guys. The trophy isn't the biggest loot that Thiem took from Barca19. It's the droppah. I joke about it, but if he can implement that consistenly to his game, it's gonna gravy. If he or his team is smart, they'd realize that he can win points sooo much easier with that in his game. Exhibit A: vs. Nadl, Exhibit B: vs. Medv

I dunno if it's that much of an over-reaction, though. Thiem got straighted in the finals last year by Nadal... but Nadal is terrible this year. So we all clearly know that isn't happening. I think he beat Zverev and Nishikori on the way to the final last year. Who else can challenge Thiem? Federer on clay? That's a big LOL.

I'd say Thiem is at worst the second favorite.

Nadal is not “terrible.” Ask Dimitrov or Ferrer.
He’s still the man to beat on clay. Period.

Meles on a heavy troll roll here since Medvedev or Thiem have about a 1% chance of winning Wimbledon. o_O

He’s already crushed Djokovic at FO before(after being crushed himself).
We know he’s capable in theory of beating anyone when he’s locked in. Consistency still a big question mark.
Personally I’m concerned about his serving stats. Service holds may not be high enough to win slam.

Um, facts disagree with you. Seeing that Nadal got beat in the quarters and semis of two clay touraments that he has won 22 times... the facts say Nadal isn't the guy on clay to beat. Moreover, Nadal almost got beat in earlier rounds. This year, the guy clearly can't hold it together in his favorite tournaments in Best-Of-3. How is he supposed to do it in best of five?

There has been nothing from Nadal this year to indicate he is going to perform better at Roland Garros than he has in any other clay tournament this year.

If past is prologue, Nadal is going to get beaten probably in the QF of the French Open.

This was so similar, just a bit earlier in the process, to the M-C SF collapse vs Lajovic...jumps to a 3-1 lead and wins just one game from that point forward. Last week it was 1-5. Mad Lad falls apart faster than an old Soviet Lada automobile throwing a rod on a cold dark Siberian highway...Total Breakdown incoming!

Fantastic tournament by Dominic, played great the whole week and deserved to lift the trophy today.

He is so much more mature player tactically in the first place.

It is a great time to be his fan, I tell you. And I I'm sure it'll get even better in the weeks to follow. :) Don't go away, people cause it's gonna be good...

His 2019 clay campaign seems to catch fire in the nick of time.

Now get some rest champ and come back for Madrid.
