Not sure if you just really don't like Stan or what your deal is. Couple things about your poast, sir.
1. Stan is not fat. He might not be at his Stanimal level from a few years ago, circa 2014-2016, but that doesn't mean he is fat...
2. If you honestly think Stan is going to go out in straight sets without a single set being competitive and going 7-6, or 7-5, then you have completely lost your mind...
I can't wait to quote this poast after the match.
Make no mistake, I'm not expecting Stan to win the match, but this one won't be "a cakewalk" for Novak, as you seem to suggest it will be.
Thank you for the post and analysis. I liked reading it. I would be remiss if I didn't say that I don't agree with everything.
Yes, Stan is a hard opponent for Novak usually. But I think the problem is that you're thinking of the Stan of past.
Let me ask you this: Have you seen Stan this year, and last year? His game is way way off compared to before. His movement sucks and most of his signature DTL shots do NOT work now because he is almost ALWAYS late.
His ROS has become worse than ever. He makes head scratching errors on neutral forehand balls. Did you even watch him against Lorenzi? Not even his serve is consistent.
Novak is closer to his peak/prime and Stan is waaaay off and a shadow of what he used to be. How will the match be competitive then.
I'd be VERY surprised by anything other than a straight set victory for Novak.
