So, here we are again.
The final of 2019 United States open, last grandslam of the season, with 2 best performers of NA HC season playing each other once again.
It's 27th grandslam final for Rafael Nadal & a 5th final at USO (W 2010, 13, 17. L 11).
It's the very first grandslam final of any kind for Daniil.
Their last meeting at the Canadian master's final was a lopsided win for nadal (6-3 6-0).
Medvedev is also the first nextgenner to make a slam final.
Who wins this match?
How the match goes on?

Could not care less.

If I wanted to see two guys hitting from 2m behind the baseline until one makes an unforced error, I'd watch the French.

Haven't done that in over 30 years, so won't be watching this either.

Something tells me that Nadal will have troubles against this Medvedev, he looks very confident. The match before 1 month, we just need to forget it, Nadal also beat Soderling in similar fashion before losing to him in RG! This is competitive sport and everything is possible.
The Bear will need to play kamikadze style, as against Djokovic. Hitting 2 first serves on break points, basically make the match a russian roulette. And even this may not be enough.

Nadal will have trouble only if his FH is not firing..

Nadal has the edge yet medleydev has the younger legs, this could be a 5 setter.

Cheers

yeah but he has taping on his left thigh. It might be for cautionary purposes although unless he 'felt' something in a previous match not sure why he'd wear it.

Big Nadal fan but this Russian guy has far bigger weapons
Could be another tough close loss for Nadal but I hope not

I don't think there is an "official" thread. Usual etiquette is to go with the one that was started sooner. But I do prefer threads with an appropriate title, such as this one.

I agree. I really dislike official threads with "cute" (sic) titles in them. I like unbiased ones, that give poll choices that are complete. (not the ones that give you all options for their player they like but not for the one they don't personally like). For me this is the official thread! :)

You should watch it imo.
It's supposed to be a historically significant final, featuring a nextgenner

The way Nadal is playing, Medvedev's only hope to make this a 4-setter is winning the 1st set. Should Nadal win the 1st set, it'll be a straight set win for grand slam no. 19!

Nadal in straight sets.

Lol..
Attention seeker? I have a number of more important tasks to do in my life rather than seeking attention on a tennis forum.

I'm sorry if it hurt you or @StANDAA, but I had to create a new thread because I did not find the other one respectful to the venue, match & players.

I couldn't watch his match (midnight in India).
What actually happened? Did he give some comments afterwards?
