Interesting comment and reminds me of what the WTA had years ago where many players had the ability to beat Serena but simply crumbled under the pressure of beating an ATG like Serena. Whether it's being up a break or a set etc, the opponents just crumble and want out.

Yeah, I didn't really get the comparison with 2004-2007 Federer. That period could be compared to Djokovic's 2014-2016 when he had weak competition during his prime, even weaker than Federer's because he didn't have to face prime Nadal on clay. But what's happening now is a totally new level of a weak era.

1000%. Could've easily crumbled under the pressure, her first slam SF, up against the ATG, no shame if she got obliterated but she pulled off the win. It's why I feel the same way about Stosur's title run to the 2011 USO, especially since Stosur won their previous slam meeting at the French Open in 2010.
