Congratulations to Del Potro for finally battling his way through and winning against Federer. He was getting closer and closer with each match, and after so many heart breaking losses, especially that silver medal match in London, it was nice to see him finally come through against his great rival.
There is so much respect there between these two, you can see the genuine appreciation that they have for each other. Sad for Roger, but Juan Martin had to have his day, and today was it, and well deserved too.
I am sure Roger will bounce back. He has had a long year, and it has got to take its toll. I'm hoping that both players get to bring that magic they have when they play each other into more big matches.
And after reading this thread....wow, Juan Martin really does have a very sad sad supporter here.A class act like him deserves better.
well said man. Delpo was knoking on the door in RG and the olympics. Hopefully this will lead to him being a threat to the top 4, but we'll have to see in the bigger events. Delpo has showed he has the balls to upset the big 4 before, like some of the other guys struggle to, so hopefully 2013 can be a good year for him.
And yes, del pony is probably in the top 5 most vindictive posters here, off the top of my head I can only think of MariaRafael and someone who wished clarky would comitt suicide as people who are worse.

People say that Federer should retire everytime he loses a match these days, but this match obviously means nothing in the grand scheme of things. If Federer starts losing in the 1st and 2nd rounds of GS and MSs events, then he should consider retirement.
