Personally, I think every player does, no matter what they say in the press.
They do. But when you're injured, you're injured and can't perform at 100% physically.
I mean the game has changed to be way more physical these days. So the difference at the top level is very small. If an injury makes you lose 10% efficiency - you could be #1 and lose to #20.

I mean this is not Pete Sampras who would still win Wimbledon with a back or stomach muscle issue. Pete had the first strike serve and the best 1-2 offensive in history. What does Nadal have? He is nothing if he can't move at 100% ability.

Stats say something not right with Rafa on serve. Previous years he’s been high 60s or low 70s when it came to first serve %. So far this RG. He’s mid 50s percentage wise on first serve.

Thiem could take a lesson from Schwartzman. The Argentines are properly trained clay court players.

Check out Schwartzman's position on more than half of his shots. He might be three feet behind the baseline taking every ball either on the rise or at the apex. He's taking away valuable time from Nadal.

Great stuff from him.

Schwartzman breaks again.

I really don't see how Nadal can win this if nothing changes, Schwartzman stays composed and Nadal is playing like dogs**t despite being down.

I’m so stoked! Nadal will win today but I’m now about 99.99% that Thiem will win RG.

It’s all on your racquet now Dom..

Schwartzman got an offer he couldn't refuse at 40-0?

Strange game from him...

"I may or may not have mentioned something about the imminent fate of his family and the entire village he comes from. Diego is a smart amigo, he know what to do, no?"

Nadal also looks tired. Or his fitness level is nowhere near it should be. His forehand has absolutely NOTHING. And his serve is pathetic as well.

He's basically hoping Diego to drop a level. But I'm thinking that is a BIG losing strategy.

The guy is pretty short...he's built his career around hitting everything on the rise.
