I met Isner and Federer in real life. Isner looked more like a 5'7" to me, about one inch shorter than me. Federer was around chest level, probably 4'11".6'0'' vs 5'11''? I think you got their heights wrong.

No you won't.i got over that thiem loss...this though i might have to abandon him if he loses to isner
Important to remember that, I think. Both to not overreact like that if he's struggling in early rounds, and to remember that, whatever happens, he could also have been out first round ...Was just out on a camping trip the entire week. Last time I was here we were all talking about how Fed was tanking the tournament after his match against Albot
I think I was too dense to realize OP put those heights as a joke.I met Isner and Federer in real life. Isner looked more like a 5'7" to me, about one inch shorter than me. Federer was around chest level, probably 4'11".
Their last meeting. Was close.
Even in Miami Felix got more supportIt's amazing that, despite this forum being predominantly American, Isner is getting so little support. Where is the patriotic spirit?

He plays a very complex, subtle, and cerebral brand of tennis that most tennis fans are just not astute enough to understand. It's amazing that, despite this forum being predominantly American, Isner is getting so little support. Where is the patriotic spirit?

It is The Power Of 8/8. Leo>>>Taurus (Isner 4/26)Even in Miami Felix got more support
It is The Power Of 8/8.
And Chun Hsin Tseng (8/8/01), current Chunnel Slam Boys champion!ALL HAIL CARLOS TABERNER! (8/8/1997).
I have Fed winning 6-4, 6-7(10-8), 7-5 to bag his 101st title in a thriller. Isner’s nerves will crumable when swerving at 5-6 in the 3rd. Fed will be clutch on break points this match by breaking Isner once each set. But Federer will choke away the 2nd set when serving for the match, only to become Clutcherer in the 3rd set. With this amazing clutch win, Federer will have a great ending to 2019.
You think Fed will end his season after winning Miami?
(Sent from my mobile phone.)
Fed probably watches Servebot to refresh his memory as to how to break him. Chances are (?) Fed will fail to win a TB once, because he's letting himself get sloppy sometimes, but not twice, so Fed in 3 is my guess.Fed enjoys watching the servebot play
Didn't Fed say he wanted to play longer so that his boys would remember him in court action? The boys are already swinging rackets, whereas his girls care only moderately, he said. So maybe he'll continue on a year or two more, and if in so doing he happens to zoom by other players' title totals, that's added bonus? You think Fed will end his season after winning Miami?

I remember the glory days of ‘03-‘05 when between Novak (Jiri, Gstaad’03) and Nalbandian (WTF Shanghai’05) you could pencil in fedr 24 consecutive times as the title winner. Since the start of ‘18 it’s a different story though as he is a mediocre 5-4 on finals day. That’s after a stellar 7-1 in 2017. I think he stays above .500 on Sunday.
According to my calculations (I hope I did them right), Fed since he turned 30 has been 33-23 in finals. Before that he was 67-30 in finals.I remember the glory days of ‘03-‘05 when between Novak (Jiri, Gstaad’03) and Nalbandian (WTF Shanghai’05) you could pencil in fedr 24 consecutive times as the title winner. I think it's going to be all about the return game.
If it comes down to tiebreaks, somehow I don't think Roger comes out ahead.

Americans are usually very patriotic but in tennis you don't feel it as much, not sure why. Maybe because there's no new Sampras/Agassi/Roddick character yet .It's amazing that, despite this forum being predominantly American, Isner is getting so little support. Where is the patriotic spirit?
It's generally not in sports cause all their big sports are American inventions where it's national competition they'll just call 'World Series' or some ****.Americans are usually very patriotic but in tennis you don't feel it as much, not sure why. I don't vote either, for the same reason!I'm a jinx so I try to stay out of Fed discussions
Edit: Didn't see your post in context, so this is basically just random information for you. Explains why my vote is not in the poll though.

I watched his interview and he reminded me of homestar runner for some reason. It's Isner's blandness. It transcends american patriotism. Still, it's a bit strange. Let's see who the on-site crowd roots for.
"Suddenly Miami is pro-Roger!"

exactlyWhat if this was an olympic gold medal match?
I'm trying to find ways to root for Isner to make things interesting, but I can't. Nothing works. His game is so boring, it's viscerally repulsive.

His game is so boring it's offensive.
It makes my blood curl and my soul recoil in horror. It's like incest, cannibalism, and infanticide, all rolled into one bland package.
Just realized we could have had a Shapo vs Isner both doing 'tween the legs ball bounce finalAnd the worst part is when he does the 'tween the legs ball bounce.
Who is he trying to impress with that trick?
I think I'd rather watch a player pick his ass than watch another 'tween the legs ball bounce!
A couple years ago, I had the grave misfortune of viewing Isner vs. Anderson in person at Indian Wells. Yes, the serving was awesome... but the monotony damn near killed me. It was the stiffest, most inelegant match I have ever witnessed.Who in their right mind could get excited about a serve-bot?
I mean seriously!
