The mission for CYGS will begin in a few days! Novak Djokovic, winner of the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon this year, is striving to reach a spectacular milestone, last seen in men's tennis in 1969. Will Djoker be able to imitate the legendary Rod Laver? Or will someone stop him on his way to CYGS? We will find out the answer to this question in the next 2 weeks!

I thought the draw was coming out on Friday? Is it Thursday?

How do they decide the draw? Committee? I have never fully understood it. I just hope they don't manipulate the draw to help any one player this year.

Going to get my prediction out the way on first page pre-draw and say that Djokovic will win the title. I think Medvedev and Zverev will both make the semi final (But hopefully not on the same side of the draw) and i don't think Tsitsipas will join them, i feel like he will go out in 4R or QF. The other semi finalist is tough to pick but i'm gonna stick with my dark horse pick of Rublev.

Since when does Armstrong has the rood, if it does?
The old Armstrong was torn down during the mid-teens renovations to NTC. New Armstrong was ready for play at USO’18 with increased capacity (14K) and a retractable roof. It is also a more comfortable court for players and spectators with improved ventilation due to some high tech design characteristics:

Dr. Ivo made a house call and successfully advanced to 2R qualies, beating Milojevic 4&6(1). Looking strong on his farewell tour; will qualify and cause a UUUGGGEEE upset.

Other notable wins today for The Kokk and Gulbis, rewarding a couple more guys with big serves. Copil and Cressy can also crank it up in the 130s and they won too. Maybe Laykold finally gave Flushing the speed it deserves.

Does The Mullet have a chance against Kamil Majchrzak in the qualies ? Nice win by Eliot Spizzirri from UT.

Basically the toughest draw for Djokovic - Hurkacz, Zverev, then Medvedev possibly. Going to have to earn it.

love the draw for excitement purposes.

If I am understanding correctly 3 players that Djokovic has lost to earlier this year are in his side of the draw? Karatzev, Carreno Busta and Zverev. Other solid players in his side of the draw are Berrettini, Shapovalov, Khachanov, Sinner, Bublik, Hurkacz, McDonald, Kudla, Brooksby.... I am very happy with this draw! (I may have made a mistake: is Pablo in Medvedev's side of the draw? Drats! I was hoping he would be in Djokovic's side of the draw again this year.)

Medvedev has Tsitsipas, Rublev, Auger-Aliassime, Schwartzman, Ruud, and my boy Alcaraz Garfia - have I understood the draw correctly?

My bold prediction remains: Djokovic will NOT be in the final of the USO; and Medvedev will win his first Grand Slam at this year's USO.

Zverev

Querrey
Vinolas/Pouille
Bublik/Nishioka
Sinner/Monfils
PCB/Shapo
Djokovic
Medvedev/Tsitsipas
This means PCB is in Djokovic's side of the draw? Now I am REALLY happy!!!! So many good players in this side of the draw - I think this has more quality players in it than the other half of the draw...

Ironically I am pleased because I see lots of players in his side of the draw who can trip him up! I am predicting he doesn't make it to the final!!!!

Lol Fritz-De Minaur 1R. If Fritz is in some kind of form he could be the Djokovic 4R opponent for an AO redux grudge match.
