Bopanna likes to help many players. He helped the young Ramkumar to win Pune title and get the top 100 ranking at that time for Ramkumar.
Bopanna doesn’t limit his impact to the tennis court. The Indo-Pak Express team that he formed with Quereshi used the phrase, “Stop War, Start Tennis” to help reduce conflict between their two countries. I have tremendous respect for his efforts in growing Indian talent on the courts but that pales when compared to his impact off-court.

Ramanathan? I guess you’re referring to dubs and he and Bopanna did win both Adelaide and Pune just this past January. RamRam is up to career high #64 from those titles and managed to gain entry in his first slams at RG and Wimby this year. 2R/1R out with two different partners, neither of them Bopanna.

His highest singles ranking is #111 from when he was age 24, four years ago. For quite some time I had expected him to break through but he is not getting the results as a protégé of The Srshs. He is now back in training in Barcelona with Sergio Casal.

Super excited about Carlos and Pablo playing doubles this week! My gut feeling is that Carlos is going to rebound this week in singles and have deep runs in both singles and doubles! I sure hope so! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Karatsev thru against Nakashima, 7-5, 7-5. Brandon was 40-0 up in the 11th game of the 2nd set but lost it, and Aslan was able to hold his in the last game.

Rune's physicality really is becoming a problem. He wins this match today if he's in good shape. That's gotta be priority number 1 in his development.

Schwartzman won today so he gets a day off to celebrate the Big 3-zero.

Also reaching a milestone birthday tomorrow is Jannik Sinner, who can legally buy himself a brewski or glass of wine in Cincinnati after his match vs The Oz Kokk. Happy 21st!

Tiny Giron with only 47% first serves but winning 14/18 of those and 15/20 on his second serve is crazy. Goffin is done

Nadal likes fast hardcourts, because it gets him free points on serve.
The courts he doesn't like are low-bouncing :happydevil:
And he probably would have won Cincy more often, if he played it more often.

Rafa wont win Cinci. Nothing to gain. Once he feels he is timing the ball well ithink he will get beat and put in a sub par performance. That way reduces expectation on him.

Why has Berr not been able to adjust to hards after a godly grass season and a decent post Wimby clay season?

Because he's an idiot. There's literally ZERO reason to play CC tournament after Wimbledon, when there's a HC season in front of you

I srsly have no idea how Berrettini became so successful having such a BH. It might be the worst shot in the entire ATP Tour. Tiafoe was untouchable on his own serve in the 3rd. Lost 4 points even though it went to a TB. Everything at that Berrettini teletubbie BH lol

Collectively, that wasn’t even Futures level returning tonight in the Berrefoe match. The match turned on the one decent return Tiafoe hit to set up his volley for the mini-break. As bad as he was, Tiafoe was better off the ground than Berry, who is slumping mightily since Gstaad. The match was almost unwatchable.

he's had a brutal two weeks
Last week was bad, losing 2R from ahead in the way he did vs Fritz. The week before he made QFs but crumbled in the clutch to the eventual champion. That’s not a bad week when you earn big money and points and should be feeling good about his game from pressuring high flying Nick.

Ferreira has tried to get him to be a little more even keeled. It would definitely help Frances to take the highs and the lows in a more balanced way. Pump it up for a few minutes but then get back to recovery for Korda (3-0 to the good in their h2h).

Work on that return, Frances!

So fitting that Dimitrov ended up being the clown to outclown Shapovalov and get him back into the winning column
