2023 USO F Djoko going slider wide and volley at every moment of tension
Yea I know many dudes dont like going to the net I get it. But Med has literally visibly shown he hates when guys do it. And him standing 20 feet behind baseline is a recipe for this.
That being said its easy for me to say.

Universe knew the only way to prevent PaulGOAT was random injury down the stretch. Not ready for Tommy to be unleashed. That really sucks though he seemed to be zoning.
Both Medvedev and Curry getting completely bailed out by lucky opponent’s injuries tonight. Interesting

At some point the universe has to stop doing thjs to me but that’s not happening anytime soon

Take out the trash for us tomorrow Carlos.

Mind you, I might actually be worried if Medvedev had a functioning serve, but it appears he does not.

If Med has eaten a breadstick from Tommy Paul and a TB to win the second, he'd be easily beaten by Alcaraz who beat Sinner. (Assuming forms are not drastically different in the final)

Alcaraz comeback against Sinner was incredible. He is getting his form and confidence of first half of 2023 back. I think he’s a big favourite for title now.

His form looks better than meddy but we will see.

Jesus so he just completely crumbled? Sounds like he folded. Will need to catch the replay tomorrow
There's a tactical adjustment that Carlos made that broke Sinner down in set 2. Raz brought his variations to the fore, mixed the pace up and wreaked havoc on the rhythm Sinner loves. Then in set 3 after a couple of games, the Sinner body broke down too.

Hella similar to their Miami match tbh.

The way Alcaraz started hitting winners reminded me of last year. He simply took the match out of Sinner’s racquet just like he did to Djokovic last year at Wimbledon too.

Alcaraz showed me an alpha level of performance. He heard me and it was very impressive considering how well dinner has been playing and played.

Carlos showed us that form is temporary and class is permanent. I think both Carlos and Sinner are going to win a lot and we can’t write either guy if they go through a bad slump of form. They both quality players. Great match!

Meddy did enough against Paul and did well to win. The quality of tennis was lower though and more mistakes were made.

I think meddy did well to reach final but been helped by easy draw. I think alcaraz will be too hot for him to handle in final.

Curious parallels between the 2 semis. Each time the losing player storms through the opening set 6-1 and we begin to think this is a done deal and then both collapse in the next 2!!!

I just noticed that 8 of us predicted Carlos would win at the beginning of the tournament and only one predicted Medvedev - if Med wins that guy is the only one who got it right but I do think Carlos will win today, I sure hope so!

Congrats to Alcaraz on winning the 2024 Indian Wells title.

He defends his title from last year meaning he joins only Djokovic and Federer to defend an Indian Wells trophy this century.

It also lands him his 5th Masters 1000 title and he jumps to #3 in the race rankings and holds firm at #2 in the rankings.

Have you sent him a tweet and congratulated him personally yet?
I highly doubt he reads TTW. He would have surfaced by now.

Hewitt also defended the title this century (won 2002-3).

Can you go away? Far out, what was the point of this post?
Don't worry Darcy I wasn't picking on you personally.
I just get a kick whenever ANYONE here congratulates a player on a victory.
Just who is the intended recipient of the congratulations?

The player?
TTW'ers?
Someone else?

Myself, whenever a player wins a match/tournie and I'm glad they did,
I may something like well-deserved win, or he/she played well etc.

For example on the recent Hsieh doubles win:

"Just came in and watched the WTA final highlights.
Very happy to see the Hsieh team win another title. :) ... "

Luckily Nadal doesn't have to worry about being old, because he's playing in a weak era.
It should be obvious why Nadal is playing.
One of his best friends EVER is the owner of Indian Wells.
Nadal literally lives at Larry's house.
So if this is Nadal's last or 2nd last year, of course he'll play for Larry Ellison.
You are wrong in every single posting. Why lie?

Where is the lie?
Nadal has been staying at Larry Ellison's house for a decade, they are extremely close friends.
And that is why Nadal came to Indian Wells 2024.
Wrong where?
