Ferrer has played a lot of matches the last few weeks, and might be a little tired. Andy seems to be playing better again, I say he takes this in 2 (just a feeling though).
Murray usually loses to guys that hit him off the court and not guys that get in long extended rallies. Ferrer will be favoured but I like Murray's chances in this one. Murray in 3 sets.
I hate to say it, but David in 3. It’s not his (Andy) talent that I hold in question but his heart. He seems burned out to me. When things don’t go his way he sulks hangs his head down. Maybe if he was to take some time off he could be in better shape for W.
I'm in the "David in 3" group. For sure he's played a lotta sets of tennis in the past two weeks, but I've never seen him playing as well as he has been. Verdasco beat him last week, but Andy's no Dasco on the clay.
Not a great match so far imo. Both playing fairly well but this long rally not-much-happening thing is one reason I don't like clay court tennis as much as other surfaces. A bit cagey, or something.
Lol, I thought all that slicing was deliberate then from Murray, put Ferrer under pressure but failed to get the final shot in (not surprising given the fact he had a broken string).
Not seeing Murray winning this but he does look sharp in general. Tough player and tough surface for him so I don't thinks the odds of him winning were high in the first place.
Murray really needs to work on his first serve percentage. I know it's never been high, but it's true that 29% is just way too low. He was 70% on first serves and 50% on second serves - that really adds up when you're not getting any first serves in!
