I get it, I really do, Novak is in a league of his own at the moment. You have to be really contrary to disagree with that.

As much as there is to admire about his form it has become a little boring for the competitive dynamics of the sport and consequently I hope he starts to experience a few tough losses over the next few months.

I suspect we will continue to be in full hype mode unless he does not win RG. I even joked with my tennis coach the other day that I could never envision Djokovic losing another match again.

So in short, what is going to upset the apple from the applecart?

There is a man on the tour, right now, who has the skill and abilities to win everything.

Unfortunately, as he no longer has the physicality to support it, he is prevented from doing what he and all of us know he can.

Come on, Roger, don't go gently into that good night.
Lay just one more heavy beatdown on this man before you hang up your racquet.

Just trolling.

I think Novak will win MC but falter in Madrid.

So he'll get Vero's precious "6 Tier 1 tournaments in a row" record.

There was nothing more boring than Federers 64 63.. back in the days, with one brake of serve per set. You called that dominatons over field .
It seems that there is another proove why I think that you federer fans are the worst fan base in sport. Never saw insecure, envious and vile bunch like that.
Ofc he will lose some matches,he played a lot tennis letely, hes not robot from your newest agenda. You can only hope that it would be every of his next matches.Or you can hope that he'll hurt himself.

So you think Nadal will recover from his injuries and resume his form, right? The other guy has been perfectly fit and healthy for ages so you must be talking about Rafa.

Be patient for another year, guys.

Djokovic's body can not hold on like this at 29 years old.

....

Yes, hard to envision... UNTIL FO. Nadal will flatten him. I have money on Nadal versus Djokovic (there is only a payoff if one of them wins)--and I picked Nadal.

But I want Djokovic to win. My $50 will be compensation for having to see Nadal lift another FO trophy.

Djokovic looks unbeatable "now"--no question.... UNTIL HE FACES NADAL at the FO. Up till then, nothing else really matters. I hope he beats Nadal to a pulp, especially if it is a FO final--would LOVE to see it. Not going to happen. Not this year. Or next year either (assuming Nadal is healthy).

Barring injury, Djoko will be the dominate player on tour through 2016. Then, I think we will see a significant drop in 2017, and he will no longer be dominate in 2018.

Having said he will be the dominate player through 2016, I still think it is doubtful he will be as dominate was Federer was in 2005-2007. Djoko seems to have difficulty maintaining his peak level and confidence. I think he has his best shot to win 3 slams in a single year this year 2015 but doubt it will happen after this year. I an not a big Djoko fan but would like to see him win RG.

Djokovic's displayed great form those last couple of weeks. But let's remember that he pretty much always thrives at the MS-1000 level. I don't think he will be able to hold that level forever, sooner or later someone will stop him like in 2011. Wouldn't be surprised to see Roger or Rafa do that.

A big injury is the only thing that could stop Djokovic at the moment. Still can't understand how Djokovic's body can handle the absurd way he contorts his body on court.

Being fit and healthy and being severely declined are not mutually exclusive.

I said the same thing about Federer back in 2006. Times change.

Well chances are it will be one of the Slams this year, but if he can win at least 1 more - and preferably RG being one of them, it will be an epic year.

Troll harder, little man.

ND won't sweep the clay season, probably Madrid but could be Rome too (and he won't be too sad for the extra days off). But he's going to win RG. But Fed's getting him at W (if a big hitter doesn't earlier). Then he'll bounce back and win Canada, lose (of course) Cincy, but win the USO. Then have another great fall, only losing 1 match somewhere, most likely Paris.

So Djokovic to win RG, lose W and then win USO?

Yep. You read it here 1st.

Think about it: if he does finally win RG, he's going on the Mother of Gluten Benders! :) Thus, no way he's winning W; it will take 6 weeks to work them all out of his system. Then he'll right the ship and get back to being our current, dominant #1.

Who will be the leader of the free world come 2016? And what will be the next lottery number?

The bubble hasn't popped ever since Djokovic 2.0 was introduced to the world at the 2011 AO. Sure, he's lost 1 or 2 matches, even big ones, during that time but overall he's maintained a steady level ever since !

Tennis is easier to predict than elections and ping pong balls. If I could call the latter, I wouldn't be posting here. I'd be in Monte Carlo following the tour, hitting in the morning, living the Good Life.

When someone grows some balls. Can't count on past prime Fed or Rafa. The rest of the tour?
Sorry, but the WTA has been better for the past year.

The last few "Tier 1" tournaments (I cringe just saying that) have been a complete snoozefest, and that isn't because Djokovic has been winning them either.

There was one good match at the WTF last year, and even that was marred by controversy.
That might have been one of the worst tournaments I have ever seen.

I think an absolutely GOATing umpire along with an absolutely GOATing crowd might just be able to pull of the upset.

You're right though, I can't think of a year with less epic matches than this one so far.

So what 'awesomeness' have we missed on the WTA tour? We know you're a Serena Fanboy, so her winning anything probably moves your needle. But where was the great play? Something other than just hitting the ball hard until it doesn't come back?

Did you guys already forget the AO? Dimi - Bags? Nadal - Smyczek? Seppi - Fed? Djoko v Stan? Djoko v Murray? That tournament was better than the entire 2015 WTA year.

1. Did I say awesome or better?
2. I've only watched one Serena match this year, (niculescu) and it was great. I like Venus.
3. Problem with me? :D

2015 AO was a great tournament. Only because Djokovic and Murray were in the final was it another "end of tennis" issue. AO consistently produces good matches and fresh players playing.

Not for another 2 years.. tough luck for Rafa and actually lucky for Fed. Novak prevents Rafa from overtaking Fed as GOAT.

I agree that the AO was very interesting, really. I'll add Kyrgios-Seppi, Dimitrov-Murray, Raonic-Lopez and Murray-Berdych to the list of good matches.

5. Learn how to be ok with someone else's opinion.

Doesn't that entail that you should be okay with others offering opposing opinions? After all, that's what he's doing.

He was a tad presumptuous, perhaps, in assuming you argued from the standpoint of a Serena-fan, but he wasn't rude or abrasive? If you want others to respect you're right to an opinion, shouldn't you respect others having opposing ones?

The Australian Open this year was cool (aside from the final, in my opinion). I don't mind seeing Federer or Nadal get bounced before the final if it means younger guys/new faces take their place.

Also, West Coast Ace and MichaelNadal are too good of posters to be arguing over something so petty; pick your battles, guys.
