This is no fair, it got to cool in NYC tonight. They should have heated us ashe. I don't know I'm just going with whatever anymore.

There still aren't many of them for that to be an issue.

And I still don't buy that faster conditions always help a guy like Isner. He needs a high bounce for the ball to be in his wheel zone.

i actually think people were saying that the reason they slowed down courts was to help americans like isner, and that he needs more time off the ground. which annoys me even more

I guess I'm skeptical about the severity of the injury. Other players have had surgery and whatnot. He hasn't. Not saying there's no injury at all, or that anyone has to agree with my take, but there's a pattern of retirements as he's losing.
There’s not much you can do with patellar tendinitis and if you’re a tennis player you’re absolutely going to try and avoid surgery at all costs.

Disppointing. Don't have too much expectations for the 2nd semi.
I do feel that Novak-Delpo would be a better final though. Really don't want to see a repeat of 2014 here.

Vulturevic back at it again? Losing to bums like Cecchinato a few months ago and then when Fedal have fitness issues he's suddenly a multi-slam year contender.

Can you imagine what it would be like in Japan to be represented in both the male and female finals?

Sadly for them though, if it did happen, both will lose the final.
Not so sure about Nishi losing final. Hard to go against Serena for sure but I like Osaka a lot and I will cheer for her in final (despite not being Japanese :))

Sincere question for those who really believe the injury- shouldn't he have withdrawn earlier in the tournament and given Khachanov or Thiem the opportunity?

huh random aside but I never knew Delpo had haters. Don't let me stop you, keep on hating, but it surprises me is all.

He'll rest the knee again, I'm sure. Outside of a sweaty dad bod/beer gut Fed in a Uniglo outfit, it looks like Djoker is back to playing no one for the foreseeable future.

Good times upcoming. lol

Have people even watched this tournament at all? Nadal’s knee has been an issue for a few matches now and it showed. “He’s tanking to avoid Djokovic!” seems to be something a lot of Federer fans seem to be saying when their man got smacked around by a bum even without any ailments.
No he is not avoiding Djokovic but he is avoiding a bad score line perhaps. Delpo took the first set and that is pretty good for his prospect even if Nadal was healthy.
