OMG. You got to be kidding me. A moment ago I thought this match will be over before I have to go to work. Now, I'm gonna be on edge myself.

What do you think the problem is? General decline?

No. Just losing focus, going for shots that are low percentage or not placing his serve well in those games allowing the opponent to get him in rallies. Of course he's not as good as 2015 but no excuse for losing that set.

Nole in for a dog fight here, you won't get much work done in the next 2-3 hours.

Djoko had many opportunities to attack and come to the net, but he doesn't have a killer forehand and good hands to volley properly.

So many times Djokovic could be moving in when he has Med out wide and scrambling, and hit a volley but just he just camps on that baseline all day long. So frustrating to watch.

Just got here. Fellow Nole fans, what happened in that second set?

FFS Novak. This is even more annoying because he is outplaying Daniil and is winning more points only to lose his focus and ultimitely the set. I still think Nole will win in 4 though.

Djokovic is struggling more than that great Wimbeldon 2018-Shanghai 2018 period . Federer slumping is no lock for Djokovic winning slams. He could struggle this year too.

It’s just post peak Djokovic. His accuracy isn’t quite what it was, he’s not quite as fast movement wise. It’s going to be like this going forward. Just like any post peak great he’ll have some surprising upsets.

Also, previously he’d have mental lapses due to anger and it wouldn’t matter cause he’d just snap back into form. But yesterday it cost him a set when something as small as the lights being on early triggered him.

It’s like, no Novak isn’t the player he used to be and you’re seeing it in this match. Old Nole would have almost been done.

Yeh, he’s on the path to a third Major in a row.

One thing I've really noticed is how more and more players now can go toe to toe with Djokovic from the baseline over a sustained period of time. At the very peak of his powers that simply wasn't the case at all.

You're right, on that point there Medvedev just went at it with Novak from the baseline until he got the error. 3-4 years ago, that point would almost surely have gone the other way.
