I'm really really hoping Felix can win his maiden title here. The rest of top players in the field clearly aren't ready to play this week.

LOL, Sisipas being mug once again. Another series of line call complaints, DF while serving at 30-30 to stay in the match.

Go post another philosophical nonsense. No wonder maestronians like this guy.

Wind picked up like a hurricane in the final service game. Also broke jarry a couple games earlier but the fake challenge system said the ball was on the line.

Yeah, it’s all the wind and challenges being fake. Sounds like we are talking about Fedr’s match. :cautious:

Zverev v Brown,, Zverev is being pushed by Brown, Zverev needs to hold serve to even it up in the 3rd set and get too 3-3

Cheers

Zverev is having some serious service problems. Now down a service break in the 3rd. Brown serving for it.

i figured dustin brown would be tricky for sascha and could potentially cause the upset. im ngl even though i really like sascha, i have an appreciate for dustin brown on grass

Zverev goes down to Brown in 3.

That's THREE top #10 players out in their opening matches today: Zverev and Khachanov in Stuttgart, Tsitsipas in s'Hertogenbosch.

Not exactly a promising start to their grasscourt season, is it? o_O

No it is not. Pretty sad. Khachanov I’ll give the pass to because Berrettini is playing some great stuff but the other two should be hanging their heads.

Dustin Brown has beaten top seed Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals in Stuttgart. Although he had two break points at 5-5 in the second set, Brown couldn't convert and lost the ensuing tiebreak. In the final set Zverev had Brown 15-40 at 3-3, but Zverev eventually lost that game before being broken in the next. At 5-3, Brown, persisting with his high-risk serve-and-volley tactics, held to take the set and match.

Can’t see Zverev losing this match. Brown is REALLY bad

Awkward match up for Zverev; Dustin has the type of game that throws top quality baseliners who like to have a rhythm off their game. Look at Browns matches against Nadal. I don't think Djokovic would like playing Brown either.

Z needs to fix that second serve though, its hard to hold at a % percentage if you're doublefaulting every game.

Maybe but Khachanov is the top #10 ranked player, not Berrettini (ranked #30) , and to go down in straights winning only 6 games is hardly more encouraging, is it?

Bashanov is not really a grass courter. No surprises here really.

Tsits loss was the most disappointing.
