Yes he’s been in complete control of this match from the beginning. He had 1 silly, loose service game and didn’t take advantage of the numerous opportunities on Nadal’s serve.

Long way to go for Rafa, if he were to pull it off congratulate him and move on. Thiem is 27, not 37. He can hit his way to the title. Since Rafa lost their last match here and Dom beat Joker most neutral observers would pick Thiem as a slight favorite.
