What would the diagnosis be for someone with SR's kind of "persistence" and consistency

I’m not doubting Nadal is the clear favorite and will most likely win

but in comparing 2020 and 2021 I’m only looking at RG results, nothing else matters I think

and when you look at that Nadal looks a bit worse. Enough to make a difference in the end? Probably not
I fully believe Nadal will drop a set if he plays Djokovic this year tbh.

I also fully believe he will win 3 sets before any other player could win 2. But he isn't invincible

100-2. When he wins the first set he’s pretty much unbeatable. I feel novak would have to win the first set to have any chance at beating nadal.

Gasquet is peppering his BH like no tomorrow and still cannot make a winner against Nadal

Look this 2 last points
Gasquet is old although doing his best. But Nadal is certainly not moving incredibly well

Nadal missed a SITTER DTL Forehand winner. He had the entire court open - hits it in the double alley.
IT was a breakpoint.

Now granted this is Gasquet, but had it been a player like Novak - you miss a point like that. Match over. Sort of like his AO 5th set misses vs Fed/Novak.

He doesn't think about Djokovic when playing against Gasquet. He thinks about Gasquet.

Nadal is still moving like Usain Bolt or 2005 Nadal

And he is 35 years old

My name is Rafael Nadal, and I am the fastest man alive. To the outside world, I'm an ordinary 500 time French Open Champion, but secretly, with the help of my friends at the Rafa Nadal Academy, I whoop Next-Gen and find other meta-humans like me. I hunted the man who ruined my perfect RG streak, but in doing so, I opened up tennis to new threats. And I am the only one fast enough to stop them. I am... The Nadal!

OMG Nadal is about to give the break back. It's 15-15. He will lose this match from 2 sets and a break up.

Yeah this might be the best I've seen Gasquet play in a while. I guess it shows how much he's fallen, but it's still decent stuff from him.
