Medvedev will just show up, collect the appearance fee, lose and leave. He will collect enough points on HC and Indoors to still end the year as No. 1.

There is literally no point in playing grass if he can't play WB.

He does not care about points?

Does the LIbema Open have a different name because I did not see it on the list of ATP tournaments for June? I saw Rosmalen, Stuttgart, Halle, Queen's Club, Eastbourne, and Mallorja...

Edit: I checked it out and it is Rosmalen - o.k. I saw that Cilic and Goffin both withdrew from the tournament.

I chose Alex de Minaur, for no particular reason other than he has been playing better lately and it seems like he could win at this level...

I disagree. Medvedev is in the hunt for points and titles. He showed up specifically to make up for loss of Wimby points. While the loss of points for everyone at Wimby factors in, perhaps (ie less stress to make up lost points), he's still there for a reason.

As to OP, I'm going to go with Medvedev heart, Felix head, so Felix wins Hertogenbosch.

Must have been an all-day rainout on Sunday; the four qualifier matches are pushed back after Saturday’s 1R. Bounced out on Saturday was the incredibly talented Bernard Tomic (4&4 to Querrey). Kozlov also lost 4&4 (Ebden). Also, Simon has decided to play on past RG (retirement delayed?) and won in 3.

Tomic was bounced before I wrote this thread...

Wow,, this is insane. Medvedev must be super serious about Winning Wimbledon. he's really trying to get ready by playing all the warmups

Gilles always said he'll play until the end of the 22 season.

And what edition of Wimbledon will that be? As a Russian, he is banned from playing any tournaments in Britain.

Will you use those great diplomatic powers of yours to end Russian aggression before 2023 grass season? Then, maybe GB and AELTC change their stance.

Great win by Tallon Griekspoor.

The security guys all dressed up like Men in Black or Elite MI6 agents.

This tournament looks very classy.

I love the animated serve clock: it has a vertical green bar that goes shorter when the clock is counting down.

And Botic lost his way early in the 3rd set. He needs a control oriented racquet which will let him swing more freely and hit through the serve more. The Babolat is too powerful and difficult to control.

Tallon and Tim teamed up to tally two wins, while zandschulp couldn't servebotic his way to a win and Robin hasn't played well either, haase?

Alfred the butler can take some time away from the Wayne mansion after BoticBruce and his ward Robin failed to defend the land of Haarlem from nefarious invaders.

He did make a Wimby QF one year and was the last King of Bogota with 2 titles there but now he’s as cuddly as the pandas that watched him win Chengdu.
Unfortunately, he did not really translate his talent into anything much. Just a wasted opportunity.. Certainly had some promise and skills to do much more. The main problem for a lot of young players nowadays is maintaining hard work ethics and dedication. They just want too much too soon and if it does not happen, they vanish...

The Talented Mr. Tomic was quick to show his colors.

I just noticed that Querrey and Hasse had never played before prior to yesterday’s match. Seems crazy since Sam’s 34 and Robin’s 35 and both have played in tons of the same tournaments before.
Got me wondering what the oldest first-time matchup on the tour is?

FAA takes out local hope Tallon in two tiebreaks, but he will have to button it up a lot if he wants to compete at SW19

Felix wins the hard way: back to back tiebreaks. Good. Won a match he should have. He needs to win this tournament to keep his "dark horse"/favorite status for Wimbledon going.

No, he really doesn't need to win the tournament for that. But it would help him immensely in title count.
