Another disappointing crowd. Last year's tournament at Johns Creek seemed like it had better crowds. I hope it stays in Atlanta.

They totally should not have this event in Atlanta in JULY. Even though both locations have been right down the road from where I live, I much prefer watching in air-conditioned comfort from my home.

Really poor tennis from John Isner to be honest. Fish gifted him 2 break chances there which he did absolutely nothing with. We could be seeing a double break soon to finish this off

Id say move it back to Indy but the Indy tennis center is demolished so..........San Diego maybe.

Bogomolov won his first ATP title, that's gotta be pretty sweet, in doubles. Edben, some South African guy, won his second dubbs title in a row.

Isner totally blew it man. He was kickin' unreturnable serves to Fish's backhand that were bouncing over Fish's HEAD!! So then on both match points he goes for big flat serves down the T???!!! Two wide kickers and Isner would have won!!

Bogo's had a pretty decent year so far. Beat Murray in Miami, did pretty well at Wimbledon and now won a doubles title.

Wow Isner looks like this every time I see him. The guy isn't fit enough to play more than two sets--and even then he has to dog it and give up free points. Very disappointing.

Uh, didn't he just recently, the, uh, French Open I believe, push Rafa to 5 sets and darn near win and put Rafa out in the first round??
Rookies.......gotta love 'em

Mardy should shoot up to 7 tomorrow (I think) Idk what berdych and Monfils have been up to.

Mardy won this tournament last year, so his overall ranking points will actually just stay the same. Pretty sure Berdych and Monfils didn't play this week last year (or this year obv) so they will stay the same too.

He's got that finalist finish in Cinci to defend soon, which could be tough obviously, but he is now up to 12th in the race which is a workable position for him assuming he can have a solid US hardcourt season overall.

I can see the argument on Isner and his conditioning when it came to Wimbledon, but remember this...

He played in pretty tame conditions, even when he played through this crazy marathon. That's not taking away from the guy at all(or Mahut), because he played his heart out. It's just saying the weather was different.

He has zero conditioning in heat, and Fish has plenty. That's the thing.

Yes, and Isner showed his superior fitness once again at the Davis Cup in Chile with another stirring come from ahead defeat.

Hope they keep this tourney in ATL. Where is it to be next year. I'm guessing back at Atlanta Athletic Club. (AAC hosting the PGA championship in 2 weeks. Was that the reason to change locations? Anyone?)

The tourney will stay in Atlanta next year. I think the location is still up in the air. The players really liked the Racquet Club of the South and there was more to do off court (exhibitors, Corona Island Hut Bar, etc) than at AAC. The offsite parking actually worked better than I thought it would. Attendance was about the same (I think 1000 less for the week compared to last year (so 110 folks per day or so--which may be as a result of higher USTA staff participation (folks who may have paid in past years) since RCS is a USTA training center). Frankly, the biggest issue is the heat--I wonder if they could somehow rig somesort of shade cover over the stands to allievate some of the discomfort. It's still too bad they cannot have it in-town (e.g., Piedmont Park)--that would be fantastic.
