Sounds like an epic match. Probably gonna be the best one of this tournament. Maybe a Fish / Isner final, but I think Fish will win easily.

definitely interesting ... Glad for Lu and Isner :)

So Muller has gone from No. 126 in May to No. 82 in July ... not meteoric, but impressive enough ... strange, IMO, since 2011 has been his best career year in the majors, and the season's only half over!

Depends on what your definition of 'best' is...2008 he did make the QF of the USO, 2005 he beat world #2 Roddick in the 1st Round of the USO, one of the biggest upsets in USO history.

You know, I have really really tried to be nice to you, but you really really make it hard. I've even apologized, and you still do this.

Just to let you know, I do this so I can keep up the conversation on these tournaments. Yes, some can look, but it's also easier for people to see them right here. As far as I can see, you are the only one complaining about this.

Sorry, I'm going to keep doing this, so don't waste your breath.

is James actually playing some good tennis now ?? i thought those days were over...

Yes, he actually did play some good tennis last night. I was there, and he hit some incredible backhand passes that had the crowd audibly gasping, ooooohing, and aaaahing. Credit where credit is due, James was dialed in last night.

Lu is on Fire. He could reach the final of US open.

Yeah, possibly facing Gilles Muller in the final, who will win this tournament and buzz through the US Open draw like a hot knife through butter. Donald Young may make a run, too.

Look, you dont need to do me any favors.

As far as I can see, you're the only one with all the unnecessary posting. The thread will live or die on it's own, depending on the interest level, not whether or not you keep posting scores & schedules, unnecessarily.

Why dont you give that a shot??

I for one, appreciate the posting of scores and matches coming up. I can't understand why that would actually bother someone?

There are thousands of places that give you the upcoming weather. Does that **** you off too that we all don't just go to weather.com ourselves?

Super-annoying that whoever is keeping track of the digital scoreboard fails to update which of the players is actually serving.

More of an observation, thinking out loud. It seems like the majority of the posts are scores & schedules. We all know how to use more than one browser window at a time right??

Nope, not listening to you Rob. You don't deserve that.

If you don't like it....LEAVE!

Dont deserve that??? Why?? Are you still mad cause I called you out on your delusion that you can take games off pros??

Nice volley by Harrison to take the 2nd set.
This is more of what I'm in the thread for, match accounts, maybe links to live streams, and the pics are cool.

Speaking of which, Granite, is there a stream somewhere??

Everyone can call me out on it. I don't give a rip Rob. At least I have the guts to stick to it, whether it came to fruition or not.

And I never said PROS...I said PRO! ONE! And it was Donald Young, one whose mistakes kill him match after match after match, no matter if it's a top flight pro, or a challenger! If I got on the court, high odds are I'd get bageled, but I'm willing to take that chance wondering if mistakes would hurt him in a match against an inferior opponent also.

There is no other pro tennis player, at this stage of my game, where I would DARE make that ballsy statement. Not one single one. Just one guy, and I'll stick to it whether I'm right or wrong when it would be all said and done.

Hewitt/Ram is actually a good match. 30 shot rally brought Ram to break point but Hewitt saves at the net. With this camera angle it is almost impossible to distinguish Ram from Sampras  he's even thrown in some of the running forehands this set.

His serve is exactly the same as Sampras's. I think Sampras is Rampras's coach.:)

Thanks for the details Breaker, care to share some more? Did Ram play great or was Lleyton REALLY off?

Whatever.

I was just trying to get to the bottom of the 'I've tried being nice to you' comment. That implies that I wasnt being nice to you, or that you've gone out of your way to ignore repeated 'nasty' comments by me and now you're not gonna take it any more, or all of the above.

None of which happened, BTW.

Just because I disagree with you doesnt mean I'm crossing the line.

Lastly, your insistence you can hang with a top 100 pro is delusional. You can limit your comparison to one specific player or not, he's top 100 for a reason. But, this is an internet forum, and you're certainly entitled to your opinion, as am I, however baseless it might be.

Also same return stance, same backhand..he's probably been dreaming of this day since the 2001 USO final.

In the third set Hewitt couldn't return his serve well at all for some reason which gave Ram free reign on Lleyton's service games. Hewitt started missing all of his first serves and from the baseline every time it looked like he gained control of the point Ram would pull off a great running forehand either down the line or sharp crosscourt (a huge crosscourt one got him the second break) and he also just didn't miss in rallies. The first break was similar but Hewitt threw in two double faults to make it easier.

Hewitt's points won had to come from winners be it service winners, volley winners, or putting away short balls due to Ram not missing. It was great play from Ram and though it's a really disappointing loss for Hewitt he can still possibly do some damage in the coming weeks - he was moving well when compared to how he looked in the post-Aussie Open hard court tournaments which is a good thing.

Your problem is that you are taking my opinion of this and judging me based on it, then making snide comments. Everyone here sees it.

Even worse, you want to get pissy at me putting every score up when a lot of people here like it.

I don't care if you agree or disagree. It's a free country, so I'm not stopping you. I care that you are taking your disagreement with me elsewhere, and attacking everything else I do.

Wrong, and I would say you're the one getting pissy.

I said something about the amount of your posts, not about what you posted. There's a difference.

Also, you're twisting things to seem as if you've been nothing but civil and accomodating to me, and I've been nothing but snide, as you put it, which is not true.

Lastly, I'm not attacking everything you do. Dont exaggerate.

If you want, here's my issue. To me, and it's just my opinion, it seems like you're trying to post everywhere. It's as if you're trying to establish some sort of presence, be more well known, so you post alot. That's my issue, and thats what my post was commenting on, nothing else.

Nobody in Philly even likes WTT...

Looks pretty much a lock for another Isner / Fish final on Sunday.
That seems to be the only match worth going to see? The semi's won't be any good.

Fish plays his first match on a Thurs evening? That's what's wrong with the ATP right there. The top seed plays his first match 4 days into a 7 day tournament, and now he's in the QFs. I can see giving bye's to Nadal and Federer at Indian Wells, where there are 7 rounds and the field is 96 or 108 or something. Not at a 32 player field where the top seed is Mardy Fish. What if Fish had lost? Very possible, it's not like he's dominating anyone. Then you get one match out of the headliner.
