Agreed. If these guys were playing the Basel final, I'd say Denis has the upper hand. Vienna is slower than Basel.

I think Dennis can stick with Med for one set, and if he gets lucky he could even win that set. However, I doubt he will be able to sustain it while Meddy continues applying pressure with his game.

Really hope Shapo pulls through here, but I definitely wouldn’t be disappointed with a loss (and neither should Dennis), because he’s played great this week and the last couple of weeks.

Bad matchup for Shapo, medvedev is just too great on defence and shapo just too inconsistent to breakthrough that although a shapo at his absolute best will beat peak medvedev but that hardly comes on court

That's the pressure of the opponent having great defense: it forces the other person to try to hit shots that are too good and make mistakes.

No, it has nothing to do with pressure from Medvedev. Denis was fine for the first set and a half. Then, he lost that second set and he is not the same. It is all on him.
