I have no favorite in this match, but almost feel sorry for David. He's like Ferrer: short in stature, no great weapons, but both admirably hard workers.

Very enjoyable match so far!

Goffin is a player who has no patience AT ALL. He is just not able to play long rallies. This is why he has to hit drop shots all the time, and of course it doesn't work. The real final was yesterday. Goffin never had a chance against Djokovic or Medvedev. Both are just nightmare matchups for him.

Though in faireness, Goffin's 28 and it's (remotely) possible he could have renaissance post-30 like Stanimal. Ferrer never won a slam, Goffin could still do it. Chances are slim, but chances were very slim for Stan at a comparable age.
