Wodgie is taking advantage of the same MUG era that big time declined Rafa is. No excuses.

Looking like another Geriatric final featuring the declined 40 year olds

Nadal would've never reached the final if he had to go through Del Potro, Berdych who actually played like the Berdych of old, Kyrgios or even Bautista-Agut in succession. He received one W/O after another and his only obstacle (Kohlschreiber) lasted for a set.

My assumption that you watched the match and evaluated your response based on the actual quality on display was....pahaHAHAHAHAHHAHA.

The quality of Berdych choking match points on serve you mean? Or Double Faulting? ROFLMAO!!!!

Great quality there. Fed was playing like a CHUMP and BerdCrap still MUGs it away

This isn't 2009 Del Potro anymore. And Berdych is a washed up has been who can't win any big matches (Even though he does have the talent of course)

Good win for Nadal today. But I'm not sure that playing 10 feet behind the baseline and hitting with extreme topspin and waiting for errors is good for the long term. He's playing the same style in his 30s as he did at 18. He needs to be closer to the baseline and shortening points. That's the stylistic change he made in order to minimize injuries. But it looks like he's resorting to the same old style as before. Running and thundering all over the court from one side to the other and trying to defend balls. Not sure that's going to help him for the rest of the season.

So the quality of an entire match rides on one or two errors. You are such a hilarious numpty. Please stick around.

He looked okay, but honest Fabio was pretty blase, especially in the first set. He really didn't dig in and fight much in the match. He also put Rafa under virtually no pressure on Rafa's service games.

I don't know how but Fabio said he was surprised with how good Nadal was serving which made it difficult to attack his service games. Nadal also said he served better in this match.

Caught the very end of Nadal v Kyrgios, the commentator made a reference to Rafa's shoe,"Still don't know what happened to his shoe???", as Rafa was unlacing his shoe--SO, what happened to his shoe???

Thanks, if you know, I wear shoes on the courts if I absolutely have to--never on grass--unless I'm made to in the interests of the maintenance of social decorum.

Did you also see the Fedr vs Fog match?

Yeah he did serve well, but then again Fabio isn't the best returner on tour. I think Fed will probably be relieved to be playing Nadal after Kyrgios because he won't have to deal with 135-140 serves, plus the craziness that is Kyrgios going for 120-130 mph second serves as well. Then Kyrgios mixed it up at times, and at one point he threw in an 82 mph first serve and a 65 mph second, lol. Rafa will be much more predictable from a pace perspective.

I agree Roger will like returning Rafa's serve more than Nick's. That being said, when Fabio said he was surprised with how good Rafa was serving, you get the feeling that Rafa to Fabio wasn't always serving this good. To be honest, I haven't seen any of these matches except the highlights. So, it's very difficult for me to judge their respective forms. Will try to catch the Fedal final tomorrow. Hope it's a good one.

Yeah it's going to be a tough match, because the conditions in Miami probably suit Rafa more, but Fed's seemingly found the recipe for how to beat Rafa. So he'll come into the match with a ton of confidence, and he's had two really good and hard fought wins the last couple matches. I mean say what you want about Berdych and Kyrgios, but they played really good matches and pushed an in form Fed. Obviously Fed could have lost both matches, and honestly maybe he probably should have lost one of them, but he somehow found a way to wiggle his way out of trouble. He's probably playing with house money at this point, feeling as though an 18-1 start to his 2017 season, including wins in Melbourne for his 18th major and Indian Well, wouldn't have been possible even in his wildest dreams. And yet here we are, another Fedal meeting, the 3rd one this year! :D
