This might be true outside clay. But this is clay. Titspas is CLEARLY superior to Medvedev and Zverev both on this surface. Sure if it were hardcourts, I would change the order.
All things being equal, Titspas should get to the final. Now he might choke etc, but in general Titspas' game works better on clay and he has been FAR MORE IMPRESSIVE than Zverev and Medvedev in RG 2021.
I don't even like Titspas, but it's hard to deny his chops on clay.
Interesting take on Citypass superiority over Zedraffe on clay in general and at RG’21 in particular.
Tsits does own a 1-0 h2h on clay but it’s from two years ago in three sets at Madrid’19. Slight Ad to The Greek.
The 2021 clay season is a bit closer in results with both winning a M1K but Zed’s win is more recent and in Madrid conditions that more closely resemble RG conditions during the day. Tsits has won at M-C early and Lyon late in conditions that more closely match RG late day/evening. A slight Ad to Zed at day and Tsits at night.
If you take away a redlining Otte’s two initial sets, Zedraffe hasn’t lost a set and just won consecutive matches featuring twin baguette sets. He is peaking at money time in the tournament. Tsits could match that peak if he crushes Meddie later on. His lone set dropped was to big serving Isner. Zedraffe has such a weapon when he is on, which he has been down the stretch this tournament Call this a wash unless it’s a brutal beatdown of the #2 seed
IMO, this is a too close to call matchup until after the match tonight. If it happens it has the potential to be the match of the tournament.
