I will be honest, logically if Djokovic plays like this, Zverev in his current form will beat him easy.

But Djokovic never follows logic rather defies it. So count him out at your own risk.

It will be accumulated fatigue that gets to him. He will play a younger opponent next round who has had less time on court.

Just checked, he dropped exactly 7 sets. Ditto for Edberg 1992 USO and Ivanisevic 2001 Wimbledon. They all dropped 7 sets on the way to the title.

Edberg played 3 five setters in a row (4th, QF, SF), beastly.

Tied with Gaudio RG’04 at 28. Not sure if that’s the record. Gaudio needed 14 sets to reach 4R. fedr’s back end upped his set count with 18 from 4R on.
