Alcaraz v. Struff is high quality, with the latter upping his levelOh man, an appointment interferred with my plans to watch these matches.
What's up with Sinner, just saw the stats that Khachanov won 90% of second serve points?
And how's the Alcaraz Struff match so far?
He's a joy to watch, when he's on! I like that he's kind of like a powerful beast but really has some great volleys!Three great serve and volley points for Struff to go from love-30 to 40-30, wins the game with another point at the net.
Very entertaining
I've always liked his game, and I'm glad he managed to snag at least one title, he made a bunch of finals last year and just couldn't get across the line. That match point against Tiafoe in Stuttgart was amazing but kinda heartbreaking at the same time. He's a joy to watch, when he's on! Yeah but especially last year he finally found a way to bring it all together really well! But then came some sort of injury, if I remember correctly?I've always liked his game, and I'm glad he managed to snag at least one title, he made a bunch of finals last year and just couldn't get across the line. Admittedly I don't know, I thought he'd just had a dip in form. Not like it hadn't happened in the past.Yeah but especially last year he finally found a way to bring it all together really well! But then came some sort of injury, if I remember correctly?
Just looked it up and he had to withdraw from Wimbledon and couldn't play for three month because of a hip injury.Admittedly I don't know, I thought he'd just had a dip in form. Not like it hadn't happened in the past.
Sucks pretty bad, but he's doing pretty well these days, so maybe not too tragic.Just looked it up and he had to withdraw from Wimbledon and couldn't play for three month because of a hip injury.
Right at his career high of 21.
Not a reason yet not to!Sinner still believes here
He wasn't returning this well in the first set.Was Struff returning so well the first set as well? I remember his returns were insane in last years match and those last few looked great as well
Ruud vs Sinner on clay is exactly the type of match Sinner needed. He should be favorite now that he will get 1 day rest. His level will be very high in QF.Good win for Sinner. After the first set I had little hope, many FH errors. Better second and third set with some good shots. Still quite an even match vs a good Khachanov.
Ruud will be the likely opponent in the next match, and this level is not enough!
Sinner continues to be a human wrecking machine.
Who's his next opponent in Qf?
Ruud (or FAA)
flat and one-dimensional - isn't it always like that? What about the Zedrot? Couldn´t watch the match, German commentators said in the highlights his game was flat and one-dimensional, Cerundolo being more creative. That´s what happened?
Always like that - but at times not without some degree of success.flat and one-dimensional - isn't it always like that?
That's true!Always like that - but at times not without some degree of success.
