Wish this guy nothing but the best. His game is easy on the eyes but hopefully he’s not a one hit wonder.

hard to tell. He had injuries much of his 19-23 age, but had been steadily making progress the past year (see also making q2 at AO and q3 at FO this year). That said, his game is almost tailor made for grass so we’ll have to see if he can capitalize on this the coming year and become a steady top 100 player

As soon as they extended grass season, I miss the quick turn around from the French to Wimbledon. We have two more whole weeks? Ugh. Get on with the show.

Pretty cool result. I'd only heard of Van de Zandsculp and Griekspoor of the Dutch cohort. I hope this guy can keep up the form and qualify for Wimbledon.
Tim needs to avoid the crash sometimes experienced going back to Challengers after a bit of success at the 250 level. He has a tough 1R in Ilkey immediately when he plays Ernesto Escobedo. A decent run there will be a great springboard for getting through the Wimby qualies the next week.

I died - temporily - for this.

Positive surprise for Dutch tennis. Not that we should want or be desperate for Slam contenders, but a solid group of guys in the top 100 would be nice.

Dutch stuff. The apostrophe, then the hiphen.
And they also have the compound ij letter, that they capitalize as in the IJssel river, which seems to originate in a stuck caps key.
It's the English "Y." Similar shape, similar sound when the "Y" is central, as in the word "style." Thanks for not sighing when I put in my 2c.
