No one believed me he was going to be a late bloomer with a game like Feds

The poll is still active if anybody cares to put their views on this talent

Have to be one of the lowest ranked players to win a title if he pulls this off. Even worse it’s against the new #1 tomorrow. Geez the men’s tour is in a wreck.

LOL you know right that Osaka is worse than Med on natural surfaces and even she was ranked 1 for a long time. Also Raaducanu literally won a slam and has not done anything since then

Babe, new #1 losing to someone out of the top 200, that’s what we are looking at. Swiatek on a 35 match win streak and Medvedev about to lose to #205? LOL as you say.

Yet you don't act like it's an embarrassment when the entire top 10 can't make the 2nd week of a slam in the WTA. At least be consistent.
#205 looking to beat the new #1. Swiatek on a 35 Match win streak while Medvedev about to lose to #205. YIKES. Call it out man.

#205 on track to bagel the new #1. And people here are still trying to slam the WTA? While Iga has won 35 matches straight? Lmao. Medvedev utterly cringe right now.

So the world #1 has yet to win a tournament in 2022 and is about to lose to someone who is not even in the top 100???? Incredible!!!!

Call it out? I make fun of the NextGen kids every day. Of course this is pathetic from him.

Just that no one wants to hear this from you when it happens consistently on the WTA and you just say "Wow, what an upset! What depth!" when their entire tour is in consistent shambles for years on end.

The WTA #1 is on a 35 match winning streak while the new #1 male Medvedev is about to lose to the #205. Lmao.

On grass we've seen all kinds of results throughout the years.
Mahut for example didn't do anything on the singles court...but come grass court season he was there.
Dustin Brown another good example.
Or Marcus Willis;outside like top 700 and gets through qualies and wins a match at Wimbledon.
It's tough to judge the quality of a player just by watching him on grass.

Medvedev gets breadsticked 4-6 1-6 in the final of Hertogenbosch by Van Rijthoven ranked #205.

Daniil will still return to the #1 ranking tomorrow despite the utterly embarrassing loss.

Well done to Van Rijthoven.

Congratulations Tim Van Rijthoven!!!!!

Medvedev still hasn't won a single tournament in 2022...

Soon to be number 1 avoids a bagel! Strong tour!

Come USO, you folks and your favorites will live in his fear. Only Djokovic and Nadal are capable of beating him there. Also every world no.1 of last 15 year not named Federer and Djokovic have had embarrassing losses in slams, Murray's 2017 , Nadal's losses in WB and so on. Atleast Medvedev has an excuse that he isn't good on Natural surfaces.

This is up there with Carretero in Hamburg 1996.
The difference is Carretero was ranked 143 (a bit higher), but he also won a Super 9 (Masters 1000 equivalent), which is a lot better than a 250.
Carretero beat Kafelnikov in the semis and Corretja in the final, which I also think is more impressive than beating a so-so Medvedev in the final.
Still an amazing achievement, of course.
