He will never lose point construction, very impressiveNadal is playing well. Movements and serve much more fluid than in the previous matches. Cachin is not a big test, but I am quite impressed
No, Med has Bublik and Ned faces LeheckaIs it true that Nadal will play Medvedev if he wins today?

Rafa looking great. 91% first serve so far. Up a double break.
Possible but at least 2015 he lost to big names.Nadal looks better than in 2015.
Don't forget Fognini.Possible but at least 2015 he lost to big names.
MC Djokovic, Madrid Murray, Rome Wawrinka and RG Djokovic. All were top 5 players on that year on clay, all making RG semis.
Currently Nadal has faced 1 top 10 player who is barely top 10 on clay.

Agree. Cachin isn’t much of a challenge. But Nadal is doing what he should, improving a match at a time. Still to be determined if he can deal with a truly strong competition over many hours.Rafa doesn’t look all that great to me yet, but the scoreline is of course all that matters at this point. He’s still revving up of course.
When did you turn on?. He done the work mostly earlier in the set.Rafa doesn’t look all that great to me yet, but the scoreline is of course all that matters at this point. He’s still revving up of course.
What he looks, is more comfortable. Much less tension in him today to my eyes. Settling into his favourite surfaceSome suggesting looking better again today on serve/movement? True???
Can't watch as in work....
Playing within himself, bit subdued it seemsWhat he looks, is more comfortable. Much less tension in him today to my eyes. Settling into his favourite surface
"So you have chosen death"
Nadal to anyone who tries to serve and volley against him on clay.
SNV is a failed strategy anywhere these days against elite baseliners.
busted. you've been caught red-handed vive. don't tell us you're not watching nowwhat a titanic draw:
- the best hope of the barely-born #AnotherWtfUselessGen
- an antique mythical creature (half man, half marsupial rodent)
- a gaucho beast who was on a 13 matches ATP-level (losing) streak before madrid
Just keeping the ball in play is receipe for disaster, Rafa will pick you apartCachin is playing more aggressive, a little plan change for him.
Nadal up a double break already!
Like taking candy from a baby
Indeed everybody is a baby compared to Nadal
if we discount the highlights of the most brutal denadalizations (that i watch on a regular basis based on a therapeutic recommendation for the sake of what remains of my mental health), i saw 1 match of the nadal (live on TV) in the past 15 years.busted. you've been caught red-handed vive. don't tell us you're not watching now
What is your top match ? Doha 2016?if we discount the highlights of the most brutal denadalizations (that i watch on a regular basis based on a therapeutic recommendation for the sake of what remains of my mental health), i saw 1 match of the nadal (live on TV) in the past 15 years.
(somebody twisted my arm back then... but i won't make the same mistake twice!)
Not true at all. Struff makes it work often, Eubanks also at times (including against Medvedev in Wimbledon).
You "just" have to have an elite serve and pick your moments.
and nadal just happens to be on your mind right now? very coincidental mate. Not buying itif we discount the highlights of the most brutal denadalizations (that i watch on a regular basis based on a therapeutic recommendation for the sake of what remains of my mental health), i saw 1 match of the nadal (live on TV) in the past 15 years.
