These are only words.
And no, it's not a tautology.
You can use your definition of good, great, amazing, extraordinary, legendary, I don't care.
As long as you explain what you mean by them and how you understand the differences between them and the hierarchy.
You seem to be bizarrely preoccupied with a supposed essence of "great", like it should only mean whatever it is you ascribe to it.
Not at all. Which is why I asked you what YOUR definition of greatness is. I'm trying to understand how you think winning seven matches in a row in a particular tournament automatically makes one great no matter who those seven matches were played against. In the case of Ruzici, you're saying that beating Marjorie Blackwood, Elisabeth Ekblom, Frederique Thibault, Fiorella Bonicelli, Brigitte Simon, and Mima Jausovec was such an amazing achievement that it made Ruzici forever a "great" player no matter what else she did or rather failed to do for the rest of her tennis career.
Yes, she has her name etched in Roland-Garros history and in Romanian tennis history.
That is a great thing.
Can we move on please?
Barty was just better when it mattered the most.
I expected this: Petra has never quite reached her great peaks of the past again, and Barty is an entirely different proposition now that she's #1 and has a Slam under her belt.
It's a shame because I'm a Kvitova fan, but she's simply not the player she once was.
I think she’s got a good shot at Wimbledon this year
Dellacqua was a top 10 doubles player when Barty returned from cricket in 2016, Casey was making slam finals but helped Ash on the comeback trail and partnered her in low level ITF tournaments. Incredible friendship.Casey Dellacqua doing the on court interview. For those who lived under a rock, these two reached 4 slam double finals together.
This is special.
Amazing and friendly woman. Can’t not love her.Man Barty can give a good interview !!!
Can Barty end the 42 year long drought of Aussie singles winners at the Aussie Open?
Eh, we're a nation of 25 million people. Easy to say it's bad compared to America when they have over 330 million. It's been longer for the British women at Wimbledon than it has for the Aussie women at the Aus Open.Yikes, that's a really bad stat for Aussies.
