Carlos wins 6-3, 6-3.

Khachanov wins 7-6, 3-6, 6-4.

Strangely enough before the tournament began I had the two finalists predicted: Alcaraz and Khachanov! I know Medvedev is the favorite but I am going to stick with my original prediction!

Solid from KK.

He's played very well this week. Honestly could have already won this match in straight IMO. Med doesn't look like a Miami winner this year to me.
Yeah Karen should’ve won this in straights had it not been for the net clip

Medvedev's form has fluctuated so wildly since Indian Wells started.

There was no way he was going to keep up the good form he had in the three events prior to the sunshine double. Even that three week was almost out of the blue for him considering his level before then.

Can’t say I’ve been paying much attention to this match as I’ve got it on in the background but Med just seems to be grinding away from the back of the court and not much else.

Medvedev looks like he took a Xanax or something. Do you want to take a nap or play tennis dude? He’s just playing on autopilot letting Karen bully him around the court

Yeah but it's still weird to see him have these dominant performances sandwiched between bad ones during the course of the week.

Well, KK is actually the one who is making most of the plays here, Med is reacting and getting balls back. His level doesn't look good to me, and as I have said before, Alcaraz will crush him if that final happens.

Meddy defenitely better in slower Indian Wells courts, despise his complaining. Meddy is just a total pusher in this match.

Is it really that weird? He's not exactly the model of consistency, is he? He was basically a dead man without a soul since AO 22 for nearly a year, the three weeks he put together were actually against what we have seen from him for a very long time. We can say, that maybe he flipped the switch, but it isn't always so clear. It has been a while since he has played so much tennis in such a short period of time, so this drop off was expected IMO.

It genuinely upsets me how much I’ve watched Karen Khachanov play tennis in the past few months.
I don't know what you guys are talking about. I think this has been a really nice watch. Lots of long rallies with good patience and tactical play. I'm enjoying the hitting at the very least. Seeing them both try to figure out how to transition from neutral rally to offense has been fascinating, with Khachanov taking more of the risks.

When he won Rotterdam, they left a hot mike near him before the trophy presentation. There was a former player (forget who) that was the tournament director or something. He made a comment to Medvedev that he must be practicing really hard recently. And Medvedev's response was pretty interesting, as he basically said that he has always practiced the same way, always practiced hard, but for some reason things just started clicking again. So maybe he doesn't even know what's really going on.

Yes. I remember that, it was Richard Krajicek.

Honestly though, he has played A LOT of tennis last few weeks, so I am not surprised level is dropping somewhat. He likely get to the final, but if he doesn't find a very very high for it, he is going to get hammered IMO.

Looks like we will get to see Medvedev get demolished again by Alcaraz in a Masters 1000 final. How exciting.

Yes, he looked very vulnerable on the points where Khachanov managed to put together a few good offensive shots. Both Sinner and Alcaraz are better than Khachanov in that department, so...
