Wow sinner is owning Paul! I thought this would be tougher. Folks get ready for Sinner’s crowning moment. I hope he wins here and becomes a big threat at us open. It will be great for tennis if he can push onl

Sinner should bully the De Minaur serve even worse than he did Paul’s but I worry about him in the heat during the daytime.

Sinner becomes the 1st Italian man to reach the final of the Canadian Masters. This will be his 2nd Masters 1000 final this season following his run to the Miami final (1. to Medvedev) and 3rd overall. His opponent will be playing his maiden Masters 1000 final so there cannot be a better opportunity for him to finally join the 23 other active players who have won at least 1 title at this level.

I think he will cross the finish line, hope he will use this title to propel his career forward

I would think the Sinner ground game just too strong for DeM. The way the minotaur takes things early due to his wheels works with most players but I think the strong Sinner groundies will push DeM off the baseline and hitting the ball.much later...

Unsure but think Sinner serve seem stronger and more committed (really leaps into serve, more body) and is using a small hop on BH.

Ps. gotta half support deM aussie demon!

His first serve percentage is still too low

Best masters semis I’ve seen in ages. ADF and TP played masterfully but couldn’t cross the finish line. The match we’ve all waited for since the beginning of the tournament between Demon and Sinner should be an all time classic. Can’t wait.

They showed a graphic during the match on Tennis Channel tonight that compared Sinner's serve stats between his run to the Miami final and his run here in Toronto. Sinner was averaging 118 mph on 1st serves in Miami, and roughly 45% were landing within 2 feet of the lines. Here in Toronto, his 1st serve is averaging 126 mph and almost 70% are landing within 2 feet of the lines. So yes, his serve has improved in both pace and accuracy.

I agree in regards to the match tonight. His 1st serve percentage against Paul was a paltry 46%. He was fortunate to save as many break points as he did, and that he was returning well enough to break TP 5 times.

If Sinner serves with similar pace and accuracy tomorrow, but has a 1st serve percentage above 60%, he should not get broken. And he should be able to punish the DeMinaur serve on return. We'll see.
